Not surprisingly for a town that is known for appealing to the senses, Creemore restaurants and cafes are fantastic and worth the drive from Toronto or Collingwood.
Here are a few of our favourites in no particular order:
The Bank Cafè
Nestled in the town of Creemore along the Niagra Escarpment, The Bank Cafe is a favourite meeting spot for locals and visitors alike in a beautiful heritage building that was originally built in 1896 as a Toronto Bank. Our dedication to fresh coffee, handcrafted beverages, local ingredients and homemade meals will remind you of bygone times where the slower pace of life was the norm. Be sure to stop by the Bank Cafe when you’re in Creemore to sit down, sip slowly and enjoy great food with friendly people.
Nestled in a century building on the picturesque main street of Creemore, Ontario, Chez Michel is a French country restaurant that prides itself on exquisite food and excellent customer service. Decorated in the bright colours of Provence and comfortably cozy on a candlelit evening, this Creemore restaurants is a personal reflection of its proprietors, Michel and Elinor Masselin.
The Creemore Kitchen
Caesar Guinto (formerly the ROM’s executive chef) and his partner, Sam Holwell, were looking for the ideal spot to open a country restaurant when they stumbled on pretty Creemore. Taking over a bookstore and neighbouring antique shop, they blew out the ceiling to create cathedral airiness, lined every square inch with reclaimed hemlock and opened their Creemore Restaurants doors in 2013. The menu includes dishes all made with ingredients from surrounding farms. That kind of fuss-free food feels perfect in the folksy, jovial room—a place where chummy servers pull up chairs to chat, regulars gossip on the verandah, and newcomers are made to feel like old friends
